Moot Court Competition

The 4th National Round of the 8th ELSA Moot Court Competition on WTO Law took place on February 13-14, 2010 in the premises of the Law Faculty of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. The Round was conducted by the European Law Students’ Association ELSA.

The ELSA Moot Court Competition is a simulated hearing in the World Trade Organization dispute settlement system organized annually by the European Law Students' Association (ELSA). The student teams will learn to act as counsels in front of a Panel, which consists of the best WTO law experts. More information on the competition is available at: http://www.elsamootcourt.org

The participants of the competition were teams, representing leading universities of Ukraine from Kyiv, Lviv, Donetsk and Ostroh. The Team of the Institute of International Relations of the Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University, composed of: Tetyana Makukha, Yaroslava Sakhno and Iryna Povshedna, won the right to participate in the Regional Round, which will take place in Leuven, Belgium. The coach of the team - Skrinka Dmytro, Ph.D. in Law, Associate Professor, International Law Chair of the Institute of international relations. 

The European Round of ELSA Moot Court Competition will be sponsored by International educational Yaroslav Mudriy Foundation.
