Head of the Chair Doctor of Economics, professor 1972 - Graduated from Kyiv National University, faculty of Economics in 1972. 1972-1975 – studied a postgraduate course at the department of political economy, faculty of economics at Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University. 1976 – defended Candidate's dissertation “Criticism of futurological bourgeois theories” 1992 – defended doctoral dissertation “Ecological problems in modern Western economical idea” 1975-1977 – worked as an assistant at the department of political economy, faculty of economics at Kyiv national university 1977-1996 – senior lecturer, associate professor, professor at the department of international economic relations, faculty of international relations and international law (since 1991 it is called Institute of international relations of Kyiv national Taras Shevchenko University) 1994-1996 – deputy director of Institute of international relations of Kyiv national Taras Shevchenko University 1996-2000 - counselor of Ukrainian embassy in Germany 2001-2003 - minister-counselor of Ukrainian embassy in Germany 2003-present day – head of the foreign economic activity management department which is now called Department of International Business Professor V.A. Vergun lectures history of economical studies, international business (introduction to the specialty), modern economical systems, grounds of scientific researches, theoretical seminar: topical problems of scientific research on international business, strategic management of economic diplomacy. Author of more than 100 researches. Passed in-depth training at the Institute of world economy in Kiel (Germany) twice. DAAD scholar. 2004 – Passed in-depth training at Toronto University, Canada.
