SPECIALITY «INTERNATIONAL INFORMATION»

Training of the specialists under the speciality «International information» started in 1993 at the Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University.
Educational process is provided by the department of international information (head of the department is the doctor of political sciences, professor N.N.Ryzhkov).
Training of the specialists in the sphere of international relations is carried out according to the degree system: bachelors, specialists or masters.
The bachelor - qualification «a specialist in the sphere of international information» - specialist trained for the informational and analytical activity in the sphere of international relations, state administration, in corporations and public organisations.
Training term - 4 years.
Forms of the state certification- state degree examination and defence of a graduation work of  bachelor.
Graduating bachelor students are accepted for the continuation of studies on the competitive basis under the educational and professional masters or specialists programmes depending on their achievement rating as well as participation in the scientific and research work.
The specialist – qualification «an informational analyst in the sphere of international relations» - expert trained for the fulfilment of highly qualified analytical, organizational and administrative activity in the sphere of  international relations, state administration, in corporations and public organisations; qualification «foreign language translator ».
Training term - 1 year after bachelors’ degree.
Forms of the state certification- foreign language state examination and defence of a graduation work of  specialist.
The master –  qualification «an informational analyst in the sphere of international relations» - a highly qualified expert trained for the fulfilment of the informational and analytical activity in the sphere of  international relations, state administration, in corporations and public organisations as well as scientific, pedagogical, research and practical  work; qualification «foreign language translator ».
 

Training of masters is carried out on several specialisations:
- Public relations in the international relations;
- Analytical and propagandistic support of foreign policy interests;
- International information security;
- European communications.
Training term - 1, 5 year after bachelors’ degree.
Forms of the state certification –foreign language and degree state examinations and defence of a master’s graduation work.
The students of the speciality “International information” acquire such abilities and skills as:
- Working out  public relations campaigns at corporative and state levels;
- Carrying out media monitorings;
- Recognition and application of different methods of influence on public opinion;
- Development of image or brand strategy for a county or a company;
- Determination and usage of different methods for information management in the international relations;

- Application of applied research methods of the international relations;
- Providing the support of  decision making process in the international relations;
- Preparation of analytical documents for the state bodies and diplomatic missions;
- Usage of the information protection methods in the information systems;
- Realisation of the automated analysis and synthesis of documents;
- Usage of expert systems in the international relations, etc.
