Viktor Matvienko

Head of the Chair and Deputy Director of the Institute for Distance Learning (secondary high education)
Education: Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Faculty of History); completed postgraduate studies in Institute of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, followed the program “National security of Ukraine” in the University of Harvard (USA), held internship on the distance education in Athenes (Greece).
Scientific interests: in scientific respect researches the scientific problems of international relations of the XX century and Ukrainian diplomacy, multilateral diplomacy and modern integration processes, foreign policy and diplomatic practice of Ukraine, author of more than 100 scientific publications on the above-mentioned topics. Succeeded candidate’s thesis “The policy of Unites States and Latin American states towards the central – American problem in 80th”(1992), and succeeded doctor dissertation on the topic “The policy of Ukrainian Public Republic and Ukrainian State due to newly appeared states on the territory of the former Russian Empire” (2003). Responsible secretary, member of the editorial board of "Ukrainian Diplomatic encyclopaedia", author of its 272 articles (2003-2004), member of editorial board of scientific journals: "Historical magazine", "Actual problems of the international relations".
Member of the specialized scientific councils of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and the Diplomatic Academy of the MFA of Ukraine.
Awards: the sign of the Ministry of education of Ukraine “A-officer of Ukrainian education” (1999), Kiev City Mayor Award (2003), MFA of Ukraine Honour paper (2007), the Sign of Ministry of Science and Education of Ukraine “Petro Mohyla” (2008), honorary award of the Honoured Worker of Education of Ukraine (30.10.2009).
Teaching activities: as Head of the Chair of International Organizations and Diplomatic Service, he lectures in the following core courses:
- History of Ukraine (Diplomatic History of Ukraine;
- Basics of Diplomacy and Diplomatic Activities;
- Diplomatic and Consular Service;
- Special course in Diplomacy of Ukraine.
According to the study courses, the study working programs were developed. All study courses are provided with the study literature.

Education: Graduated from the Historic Faculty of the Kiev State Pedagogic Institute named after Gorkiy in 1979, succeeded candidates thesis “The US policy in the Middle East: Lebanon aspect” in 1989 and doctor thesis “International political dimension of the Lebanon crisis management” at Taras Shevchenko State University of Kyiv in 2003. Doctor of political sciences, professor, political scientist. Member of the editorial boards of publications "Actual problems of the international relations" and “Research herald of the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine”.
Teaching activities: as a Professor, her lectures in the following courses: "International organizations”; "Theory and practice of negotiations”, "Аctual problems of theory and practice of international organizations”, "UN in the modern world”, "Ukraine in the universal and regional organizations”, „Great states in the international organizations”, "Ethnic and cultural development and the diplomacy of the states of the world".

Education: Graduated from the philological faculty of the Dniepropetrivs’k State University, speciality “English language and literature” in 1976, historical faculty of the Kiev Taras Shevchenko State University in 1985, succeeded PhD on the topic “The problems of social justice in the USSR in 1980th in modern British and Americal scientific literature (historical and political analysis)” in 1991, studied in the doctoranture of the Kiev University in 1999-2002 and succeeded doctorship on the topic “European integration policy of Great Britain and international factors of its shaping (the second part of the XX century)” in 2005. Doctor of history, associated professor, philologist, historica.

Tetiana Shynkarenko

Education: Graduated from the historic faculty of Chernigiv Taras Shevchenko Pedagogical lnstitute in 1981, postgraduate studies in the Institute of International Relations of Kiev National Taras Shevchenko University in 1998. Succeeded PhD on the topic “Ukrainian liberation movement in 1920-1923 in the foreign policy of the western states” in 1999. Held internship in the State protocol department of the MFA of Ukraine, candidate of history, associate professor.

Teaching activities: as an Associate Professor, she lectures in the following courses: “Ukrainian language (professional language)”, “Diplomatic protocol and etiquette”, “Diplomatic activities and diplomatic documents”, “Diplomatic correspondence”, “Council of Europe: political and legal cooperation mechanism”, “European Union: institutional grounds and common policy”, “Ethnic culture and diplomacy of countries of the world”.

Scientific interests: specialist in political and legal systems of the CIS countries and Western European countries, conducts research in geopolitical situation and foreign policy of the countries in the post-Soviet arena. Author of more than 30 scientific and educational materials.

Education: Graduated from the faculty of international relations and international law of Kiev State University in 1976, succeeded PhD in 1980 on the topic “The role of the coloured population of the South African Republic in the forces of protest” and doctor thesis in 1994 on the topic “The problem of bridging the gap of the former colonial states” (1994).
At Kyiv University: Assistant Professor (1979-94), Associate Professor (1985) of the Chair of History and Foreign Policy of countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America of the International Relations and International Law Faculty, Deputy Dean of the International Relations and International Law Faculty (1986-88), Deputy Director of the IIR (1989-90). In 1995-2003, Professor, Head of the Chair of International Organizations and Diplomatic Service of the IIR. Obtained the academic rank of a Professor in 1995. In 1996-2003 and starting from 2007, he is the Rector of the Diplomatic Academy of the MFA of Ukraine, member of the Collegiums of the MFA of Ukraine.
